Chapter Thirty-Two of Keeping Score in America: Facebook By Michael Moriarty I’ve renewed my acquaintance with Facebook almost a week ago. It is now a whole new experience! Given the whole world’s ability to transport entire videos to its individual sites?! That has opened up whole conversations about my recording, Reaching Out. With spoken liner notes actually a conversation between Mel Tormé and myself. For myself at least, Facebook has eliminated the necessity of a written biography. After years of Facebook, the ground covered?! The major points of one’s life can all be there in not only print but the trillions of words contained in the millions of photos existing within videos. After all these years of performing in the public eye, I have the chance to enjoy a few conversations with an albeit small corner of my former audience. It is a most enriching experience! For example, this morning I received a nicely entertaining link from the very gifted and Renaissance soul of Gary Miller-Youst. His poetry, I believe, is best read over his paintings of the sky! Regardless of my own thoughts, however, this encounter with a fellow lover of the Italian Renaissance and everything it represents is most emboldening! Thank you, Gary! As for conversations?! Join Facebook and check them out! Freedom of speech! Speaking of which? God bless Canada and the CBC for its Passionate Eye program. Here is its November 7, 2012 overview of the most dangerous man on earth right now: Vladimir Putin!
See the CBC’s The Putin System. It is vitally important that you do. While the Bush Family’s New World Order sleeps, Canada and the CBC has remained awake. Thank God that I moved here.
