The radical left's latest attack on Glenn Beck

Glenn BeckThe radical leftists are after Glenn Beck.  That's not unusual, but this time they are using hearsay and have the help of apostate clergy in their attacks.

On his television show, Mr. Beck rightly pointed out that the term "social justice" is code for socialism.  He also pointed out that the socialists, and statists have infiltrated some churches as well as other areas of society and rightly suggested that if people were in a church with an apostate clergy that is preaching "social Justice", they should leave that church.

The reaction from the left wing nut jobs and from the apostate clergy was immediate and fierce.  One of the apostate "ministers", a radical leftist, Jim Wallis, has been especially vocal in his attacks, appearing on TV and radio with every leftist, kook, and talking head, and his written rants are on the almost all of the radical left's blogs attacking Mr. Beck.

Wallis and the radical left claim that the Bible teaches that government is supposed to forcibly take money from the people who earned it and give that money to people the government and the socialists think deserve it more.  Of course, this is the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches.

Wallis is a modern day cheap imitation of Father Charles Coughlin, a radical, leftist priest in the 1920's and 1930's who claimed "God is directing President Roosevelt", when Roosevelt was making the depression worse by implementing socialist policies.  Coughlin later turned against Roosevelt because he didn't think Roosevelt was advancing socialism fast enough.

In 1934, Coughlin founded the radical organization called National Union for Social Justice (NUSJ).  Wallis is founder of the radical group called The Sojourners Community.  Sojourners Community agitates for "economic justice" and expanded government welfare services.

Wallis' radicalism is not new.  He was also the president of the extremist group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) at Michigan State University while in college there.

Like Wallis, Coughlin didn't think the U.S. was socialist enough and turned on Roosevelt when he thought Roosevelt wasn't turning the country into a socialist country fast enough.  Starting in 1936 Coughlin began calling on Roosevelt to move the New Deal even more radically left and make the U.S. government programs more like Hitler's social justice programs.

Any Bible believing Christian or Jew knows that the Word of God does not support socialism of any kind.  The Bible advocates personal responsibility and personal charity.

In fact, the Bible says that "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10.  The Scriptures go even further, saying; "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." 1 Timothy 5:8

The Bible teaches personal responsibility rather than government responsibility for the truly needy.  In fact, the Scriptures admonish believers to not burden the Church with poor family members so the Church can concentrate its resources on the needy who have no family to care for them (widows indeed).  The leftist heretics never want these Scriptures discussed.  God's way of families taking care of themselves and their own makes it hard for the leftists to exploit the poor.

Mr. Beck's exposure of so much of the radical socialist agenda, and his exposure of the way they try to hide their agenda, as well as the New Speak they employ, is a service to the nation.  He's getting the word out to people who have never heard much of what he is exposing.

This has the socialists going crazy.  Beck has one of the worst time slots on cable TV, but he has a huge audience.  More people watch Mr. Beck than watch several of the leftist nut jobs on prime time MSNBC combined.  His radio show reaches even more people.  And as Beck learns more he is more of a threat to the nation's continued slide into the cesspool of socialism.  He's becoming the radicals' biggest threat.

Of course, Mr. Beck is still a work in progress and it is possible that he will backslide to the old Glenn Beck who was little more than a Republican entertainer.  It remains to be seen if Mr. Beck will continue to grow and become a true blessing to the nation, our children and our grandchildren.

Time and Mr. Beck's actions will tell. ESR
