Kerry Marsalis quoted "artist" Chris Lewis-Jones regarding the symbolism of his Holy Trinity piece. One sure test of whether it's art or not: Art does not require verbiage to explain it. You succeed as an artist by communicating your feelings and experience from within to without. Words don't play a part ever.

You can be sure that when someone seeks to restrain or control statements like Lewis-Jones' it has little to do with controlling art. Choose a better example next time or it's a moot point.
