Chapter Twenty two of Keeping Score in America: American Reichstag Fires By Michael Moriarty Well, at last…the 50th Anniversary of the Kennedy assassination! Nothing could make me feel older. Except perhaps a rerun of From Here To Eternity. The nightmare of Pearl Harbor occurred the year in which I was born, 1941. However, I was 23 years of age and in London, England on a Fulbright Scholarship when news of Kennedy's assassination struck the world. 50 years ago! I'm really that old?! Yes. The New York Post came up with this the other day. The Urban Dictionary comes up with these definitions of "Bird-dog". Yet JFK could also "Bird Dog" the Secret Societies, Bilderberger's and all of America's not-so-hidden enemies. Pease listen to this Kennedy broadcast closely. It is terrifyingly relevant to the nightmare America is presently in. For that form of single-mindedness, concentration and dedication I consider Kennedy a hero. I had even thought Kennedy's assassination was connected to that accusation he made about a coterie of what Voltaire called "enlightened despots". Kennedy's certainty that these New World Order Supremacists were working to literally destroy America. Kennedy is most tragically what he himself would describe as a fallen man, drowning under what even the Kennedy family would describe as "increasing disrepute". Most people, according to falling popularity polls for Kennedy, are now convinced that the former President was assassinated by a "lone gunman", The "Grassy Knoll" is becoming the Alamo of conspiracy theories. Here are the starkly highlighted photos of what I call The Kennedy Assassination Head Spray, images of his brain matter exploding forward from the exit wound in his head instead of backwards in the direction of the infamous material that Mrs. Kennedy has been seen unforgettably reaching for in the Zapruder film. Below are the two most important frames in the Zapruder film. Despite certainties about Kennedy's head moving forward as brain matter sprays forward, his body was driven to the left and in the direction of his wife. Where's the entry wound for that 3rd and final shot from Oswald's rifle? I enter "entry wound" into what I call my computer's "search and find". I come up with this: a defense of the one-bullet-theory. Governor Connelly himself rejected the one-bullet-theory. "I am convinced," said the Governor, "without any doubt, that I was not struck by the first bullet". Here is a "replica" of the photo of the entry wound of what I call the "kill shot". And below is the diagram that came from the investigation's final analysis: Having disputed the conclusions of the "House Select Committee" for 50 years, I wish this material I now include had been more easily available to the general public. Evidence this obvious is all that is needed to eradicate most Grassy Knoll theories. Really. Why hadn't these two images – the "replica" of the autopsy photo and the diagram of the fatal bullet's trajectory – made widely known?! "It's only a ‘replica!" might have been the objection. "Why can't we see the autopsy photos?!?!" Well… my possible acceptance of the "lone assassin" verdict would have taken less than 50 years. Who, however, might have hired Oswald for the "hit"? That's still up for major dispute. Tales of a relationship between Oswald and Jack Ruby prior to the assassination?! Tales… and then, of course, major evidence of Jack Ruby's connection to The Mob?! Was Castro the "contractor" for Kennedy's assassination? Or was it The Mob? Or was it both in a bizarrely complex conspiracy?! Could LBJ, as the most powerful Texan alive at the time, have known of the immanent assassination?! Or, as the most recent conjectures offer, was Oswald really after Governor Connelly and Kennedy was in the line of fire?! Apparently Connelly had something to do with Oswald's dishonorable discharge from the Marines. No one knows certain. And we may never know for sure. The other, clearly Oliver Stone version of "why was Kennedy assassinated" is Kennedy's openly stated desire to stop his own and America's involvement in Vietnam. These suspicions are much older than even Oliver Stone's fame. They arose in the 1967, off-Broadway play, MacBird, in which LBJ and his wife Lady Bird are seen as latter-day Macbeths. A 50th Anniversary of anything… is… well… important. A date such as November 22, 1963?! And I thought the Oklahoma City Bombing was a Reichstag Fire. We're still not entirely certain that Fidel Castro "called the hit" on Kennedy. Reichstag fires. The Italians would certainly know about Reichstag fires.
