Well said
A few years back Colby Cosh noted that a universal health care system essentially meant that the government controlled your body. Given that health care costs usually rise faster than the rate of inflation, governments are usually looking for ways to reduce costs. The final link in the chain is your behavior, which generally generates those costs. So in the interests of reducing costs, government inevitably takes on the role of telling you what you can ingest and what treatments you can get. It's all about control.
Glenn Beck realizes that in an op-ed which ran yesterday. So get ready for Obamacare and a new era where your own body belongs to Washington, D.C. Hope it's worth it.
Update: Turns out there's some honesty on the left as well. Wack job "philosopher" Peter Singer argues in an essay that nationalized health care is all about rationing...and he's happy about that. His argument: It's not up to you how long you get a chance to live.
