HELP VIRGINIA OUT: Virginia Postrel is casting about for recommendations for the picture of herself that she'll use for the cover of her new book. Here are your choices and write in and tell her (virginia@dynamist.com) which one you like. I picked number five.

Hmm... I suggested using 3 or 6. The smiling pictures are a little bit more representative of optimistic, dynamist-type libertarianism. If it were my book, I'd pick a photo of myself glowering to fit in with my dour, human-nature-is-flawed, semi-libertarian conservatism.

I like 5, also. Beautiful, smiling, exudes charm. Shows her off to great effect.
