Sept. 11, 2001, a date which will live in infamy, a demonic force suddenly and deliberately attacked the government and people of the United States. For the first time since the British attacked Washington and Baltimore in the War of 1812, a foreign enemy has directly assaulted the mainland of our Republic. Every one reading this is a survivor today. I, personally, was considering a flight from Boston to New York City this morning for a business meeting but had changed my mind. A passenger flight from Boston was one of those that was hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City this morning with the extent of the carnage as yet to be determined. Our innocent, peace-loving Republic and people have been slayed by the most violent and cowardly force on the earth today.

This war, and G-D willing, our leadership will recognize it as such, has been brewing for quite some time. According to international terrorism expert Yossef Bodansky, author of "Target America," the Soviet Union formalized a strategy of international terror as a means of destabilizing the Western democracies back in 1972 at the Baddawi Conference held in Lebanon and chaired by the Marxist PFLP head George Habbash. The conference established an "alliance of progressive movements and terrorist organizations" including the PLO as well as terrorist cells from Europe and the Third World.
The strategy implemented at Baddawi was one of terror, murder of innocent people, with the belief that this would result in the collapse of the West and victory for international socialism in all its varied facets.

According to "The Russian Connection", a documentary in which several members of the PLO were interviewed, no terrorist attack would occur without Soviet consultation. After 1972, Arafat, according to PLO sources, would meet weekly with his Soviet handler to coordinate strategy, Soviet Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Soldatov. The Soviets would proceed to arm and train terror cells and assist with propaganda often parroted by the world's casual network of left wing and fellow traveling media organs.

The first attack carried out after Baddawi was on April 11, 1974 in Quirat Shemona, Israel, where 18 people, including 8 children were murdered. This was quickly followed by the May 15, 1974 attack on a school in Maalot in which 25 schoolchildren were murdered. Future incidents would involve the forced landing of a hijacked domestic flight at Entebbe Airport in Uganda where Jews were separated from other passengers for execution. After the hostages were rescued by Israel, the terrorists would murder Dora Block, an elderly passenger left behind in a hospital bed. The attack on the passenger ship Achille Lauro would result in Leon Klinghoffer, an elderly Jewish man, thrown over the side of the boat in his wheelchair.

We are confronting an enemy that seeks to destroy our civilization and to kill us for being Americans. In spite of decades of lies from left-wing America haters, our Republic seeks to live in peace and harmony with all nations. This enemy, fueled by a toxic amalgam of Marxist propaganda and a twisted hybrid version of Islam, seeks war with us for utterly irrational reasons. Perhaps they've been cranked up by hatred for our success and freedom to the point that they seek our eradication as a means of avoiding the possibility of confronting their own failure as a society. It doesn't matter what motivates them, they have invaded our shores and, like any sane sovereign nation, we have a moral imperative to respond with as much fire and fury as we can muster. ESR
