USPS and vote by mailBy Todd Gregory and Erik Gregory The United States Postal Service's National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), representing hundreds of thousands of USPS employees, has strongly endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris for President. This stunning act of overt partisanship by a US government affiliate which will play a monumental role in the coming election — and be responsible for delivering tens of millions of voter ballots nationwide — was met not with justifiable outrage but a collective shrug from the national news media. Imagine an alternate reality where NALC/USPS had endorsed Republican Donald Trump (instead of Harris). The outcry would be a huge national news story, with scathing NY Times op-eds, primetime broadcasts with "fact checkers" like David Muir and Margaret Brennan lecturing about conflicts of interest, and sustained caterwauling from progressive interest groups about the politicization of the post office. Yet, because NALC endorsed Harris, it's a complete non-story. Many progressives dismiss concerns about mass mail-in voting by making the false claim that current Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is a Trump appointee (he was appointed by the Board of Governors of USPS), thus implying mail and ballot fraud against Republican voters is not possible. But even if the media's debunked claim about Trump appointing DeJoy were true, it is still a logical fallacy, akin to claiming that because Trump was president (from 2017-2021), the entire government must therefore have been adhering to his policy directives and implementing his agenda, rather than thwarting him at every turn. DeJoy has no control over the nation's partisan mail clerks and letter carriers, nor any "trust but verify" mechanism to confirm postal employees are being honest in the discharge of their duties. There doesn't have to be some grand scheme from a centralized leadership or secret cabal to commit fraud with mailed ballots (in fact, there probably isn't). Rather, it's the decentralized actions of many individual bad actors, lone wolves who simply take it upon themselves to become operational, doing "what needs to be done" when it comes to committing ballot and mail fraud. It is analogous to the lone wolf terrorist who doesn't need to get specific actionable marching orders from Al Qaida or ISIS. On his own initiative, the lone wolf knows what he wants to do to advance The Cause, and resolutely follows through with concrete actions. While any large organization will contain people of varying political opinions, your typical unionized city postal worker is leftist in political orientation. Mail carriers know the politics of the residents on their mail routes. They know which residents receive (D) campaign mail and which receive (R) campaign mail. They see the yard signs for Harris or Trump. How many Republican voters will seal their ballot in the outer envelope, drop it in the outgoing mail or local drop box, and just assume it will be delivered to their local election office? Or just assume ballots sitting around unsupervised for many hours in filthy bins and plastic tubs at the post office with little chain of custody are safe from tamper-minded postal employees? As with some illegal aliens using DMV motor voter forms to register to vote, it seems America is simply on the honor system when it comes to trusting the USPS with custody of voters' ballots. The fact is that it is highly likely the government mail carrier who has physical custody of your ballot is a Democrat voter, and given what is objectively true about (D) voters, that should be a stadium-sized red flag. What's to prevent a postal employee from destroying, defacing, or disposing of a few ballots, or a few dozen ballots over the course of a few weeks, while taking pains to cover his tracks? Roughly half of Americans will vote by mail, and hundreds of thousands of postal employees will be responsible for the delivery of their ballots. If even 1% of Harris-supporting supervisors, mail carriers, or clerks are dishonest and choose to engage in ballot mischief, that amounts to well over 1,000 postal workers disenfranchising voters, nudging swing state vote tallies into the Harris column, and undermining democracy. Despite the public inexplicably holding the failing USPS in high regard, internal theft and criminal fraud committed by USPS employees is simply immense in scale. See here, here, here, here, and here for just a few recent examples. Democrats are hysterically opposed to voter ID, clean voter rolls, signature matching, same-day only voting, paper only ballots, citizen-only voting, election observers, and other commonsense examples of election transparency because they want conditions that favor cheating. The vast majority of the world's nations have banned voting by mass mail due to the ease with which it is exploited to engage in ballot chicanery. Making the USPS a key player in elections is par for Democrats' ballot skullduggery, building upon their 2020 template for an ever-larger margin of fraud. The government-media complex will naturally dismiss legitimate concerns by accusing conservatives of engaging in groundless conspiracy (tinfoil hat) theories. But conservative voters have seen this movie many times before and have ample reason to be highly skeptical of any government affiliate undermining democracy by engaging in election interference. Whether it's Biden-bucks, the US State Department, CISA, the FBI, IRS, NSA, CIA, or the DOJ, why would anybody expect anything different from the USPS? It doesn't take much fraud to alter the outcome of a close election. The USPS Office of Inspector General (OIG) is tasked with investigating reports of fraud, theft, or other mail tampering committed by local USPS letter carriers, supervisors, or clerks. Whether the OIG undertakes a good faith effort to investigate individual voter complaints of ballot-related mail fraud is another matter entirely. If derelict state legislatures, attorneys general, jurists, secretaries of state, and congresspeople had done their constitutional duty and erected guardrails to prevent the corrupt electoral procedures of 2020 from becoming completely codified into election law, voters wouldn't be in this Swamp-created election free-for-all today. As the tautology has it, elections have consequences, and so too does complete institutional capture (and surrender). Nevertheless, conservative voters should still bank their vote as early as possible, whether by mail or otherwise, and avail themselves of this website for ballot-tracking links for individual states in order to verify their ballot was actually delivered and tabulated at the election office.
